Elia foster (she/her) is a new york-based clarinetist and educator.

Elia performs regularly with PROTESTRA, an activist orchestra, City Lyric Opera, and Synchronisms, her Flute and Clarinet Duo. In past years, Elia has performed alongside members of the Fifth House Ensemble, the Callithumpian Consort, and the Femmelody Chamber Music Collective.

Elia maintains an active teaching studio of 20+ students across the United States. Elia teaches clarinet and saxophone and enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels. Click here to learn more about lessons with Elia.

In addition to performing and teaching, Elia works as Development Associate with Willie Mae Rock Camp and Development Coordinator for PROTESTRA. In both roles, Elia works towards cultivating meaningful relationships with community members and conveying the power of the arts.

Elia received a Master’s in Music from McGill University and a Bachelor of Music from New York University. Past teachers include Simon Aldrich, Pavel Vinnitsky, and David Blumberg.
