Elia foster (she/her) is a passionate performer and educator in the new york city area.
Since graduating from McGill University in May 2020, she has immersed herself in the NYC freelancing scene and built a thriving private studio of over 20 clarinet and saxophone students nationwide.
An active freelance clarinetist in the tristate area, Elia has performed with the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, PROTESTRA, and City Lyric Opera. Elia has worked with world class musicians and ensembles, including the Callithumpian Consort and Imani Winds, and has participated in masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Anton Rist, Ricardo Morales, and Eugene Izotov.
In addition to her active performance career, Elia is a passionate teacher with students of all ages and abilities. Her lessons provide students with a strong foundation of technique and musical knowledge while building a love for music within each student.
In her spare time, Elia enjoys running and looks forward to completing the New York City and Paris marathons this year.
